Intro:
If you dont know Bone Smashing is the process of hitting the bones on your face with a hard object ie. hammer, first, globe in ordder to create micro fractures that eventually heal and the bone supposedly becomes "stronger" (improved density and size), however,
many people inside the community dont believe that "Bone Smashing" is real and label the method as cope.
is this post I will try to explain my reasons for believing in the effectiveness of bone smashing and the optimal way to do it.
The theory behind bone smashing:
Wolff's law stated by the doctor Julius Wolff says that "the bone in a healthy individual will remodel itself over time to become stronger in response to increased mechanical stress, and conversely, will weaken if stress is reduced", this statement is the main idea behind "Bone Smashing" and it core belief on how it works.
this "law" is my first point of argument to why "Bone Smashing" isn't cope.
Real Life Example:
as many people in this fourm conviently forget to say "Bone Smashing" isn't only used regularly in muy thai, its an essential part of the martial art.
"Bone Smashing" in muy thai, or as they call it "shin conditioning" is the practice of creating micro fractures in the shin in order to toughen it (increase density) and is recognized by fighters and the muy thai world.
the only difference between "Bone Smashing" and shin conditioning is that your facial bones are more delicate then the shin and unlike the shin which you don't care about aesthetic results in it, u just want a stronger bone, improper Smashing could lead to asymmetric density which is bad.
My Experience:
i've been bone smashing ever since I found out about it and one thing everyone can agree on is that its defiantly has AT LEAST short term gains because of the inflammation in the face so that's one thing I can vouch for, secondly, I see a difference from when I started to now, that difference may come from overall bone growth during puberty but in my opinion it defiantly has helped at LEAST a bit.
Optimized guide based on Wollf's law and aesthetics:
AREAS TO BONE SMASH:
Cheekbones (zygomatic arch)
Jawline (mandible, gonial angle)
Lower outer jaw (mandibular body)
AREAS NOT TO BONE SMASH:
Brow ridge / orbital rim
Nose bridge / nasal bones
Maxilla / under-eye area
TOOLS:
padded mallet or silicone massage tool
as to not hurt the skin and to create perfect fractures with symmetry and control.
Ensure the face is clean and dry.
Disinfect the tool if necessary.
Target 30–60 taps per area, spaced evenly.
Duration: Max 1–2 minutes per area.
Use arnica to reduce bruising (optional).
Apply retinol (if tolerated) before bed.
Prioritize 8+ hours of sleep for recovery.
FREQUNECY:
this is the most important part for safe bone smashing that is the difference between harming yourself and improving density
ONLY BONE SMASH ONCE EVERY 2-3 WEEKS!
ALLOW A RECOVERY TIME OF AT LEAST 6 WEEKS FOR EACH PART!
MAKE SURE TO EAT PROPERLY AND SLEEP PROPERLY FOR THE BEST HEALING AND RESULTS!
CONCLUSION:
bone smashing is slow and requires patience and proper methodology in order to get real results,
but it should work if done properly.
it's important to note that to prove that bone smashing works a medical study needs to conduct research and give results and proof so right now bone smashing should be considered real but should not be your only way to looksmax.

Before You Start
Warm the area with a hot towel for 2–3 minutes.Ensure the face is clean and dry.
Disinfect the tool if necessary.
During the Session
Tap gently — dull discomfort is OK, pain is not.Target 30–60 taps per area, spaced evenly.
Duration: Max 1–2 minutes per area.
Aftercare
Apply a cold compress for 5–10 minutes.Use arnica to reduce bruising (optional).
