Bonesmashing

Introduction
Bonesmashing is a stupid trend popular on tiktok, where peo0le intentionally smash their own facial bones with hard objects in an attempt to remodel their bone structure and achieve more “dimorphism" greys that support this often say muh Wolffs Law as source basically that the principle that bone adapts to stress by becoming denser or stronger along lines of mechanical load. What they cant understand however, is that this process refers to controlled, hitting yourself like an autist and cyclic mechanical loading which the human face, particularly the zygomztic arch, nasal bones and mandible, are thin cortical structures designed for light impact absorption and symmetry, not repeated raping
bonesmashers believe the impacts create microfractures that trigger osteoblast activity on bone profile. the trvth is, these strikes generate uncontrolled energy transfer exceeding the cortical yield point, producing small but significant fractures, damaging periosteal blood supply, and activating a chaotic inflammatory cascade rather than a regenerative one.

The Debunk
When someone repeatedly hits the zygomatic area with a hammer, the local stress easily surpasses 200–250 MPa, far above the 120 MPa threshold at which facial bone begins to fracture. The periosteum (the thin vascular layer feeding the bone) becomes stripped away, severing micro vessels and halting nutrient delivery. the result is a mixture of fibrous scar tissue and disorganized woven bone. Instead of neat remodeling, the healing process triggers inflammatory cytokines like IL 6 and TNF α, which promote degradation before any rebuilding occurs. During recovery, the body forms a fibro cartilaginous callus, not a dense lamellar matrix. Without stable fixation or proper mechanical guidance, the regenerating bone mineralizes unevenly, reducing overall tensile strength by around 20 percent and creating random ridges and curves along the fracture line. These are looksmins not maxxes, they are asymmetric and often permanent

In younger people under 18, trauma to the facial bones risks premature fusion of the zygomatico maxillary and frontal sutures. This leads to halted growth and facial asymmetry, the opposite of muh bonemass effect tards hope for. The thin infra orbital rim provides little cushioning, so impacts here can shear the infra orbital rim, causing partial facial numbness or permanent loss of sensation. A bad hit can also send shockwaves through the orbital wall, rupturing the lamina papyracea and inducing retro-bulbar bleeding a direct pathway to optic nerve damage and even blindness.

No clinical study supports copesmashing as a looksmsx (CT, CBCT, or MRI) has ever shown measurable, symmetric improvement in cheekbone or jaw projection following self harm blunt trauma. The few documented medical cases involve complications like mal union, pseudoarthrosis, and osteonecrosis, all requiring surgical correction with titanium plating.

Mechanobiologically, bonesmashing violates every rule that makes Wolffs Law work. Effective bone remodeling depends on controlled strain magnitude (between 50 and 1,500 microstrain), cyclic loading at moderate frequency (around 1 Hz), and preservation of vascular integrity. Random high impact trauma breaks all of these parameters, turning adaptive signaling into destructive inflammation. Instead of osteoblast activation
, there is osteoclast tunneling and disorganized resorption. The outcome is not a better face, but weaker, uneven bone that heals unpredictably sometimes even collapsing inward.

it is, you csn try it yourself and end up with holes everywhere, assymetric as shit, deformed, possible early facial suture before 20, no more bringing nutrients to the smashed part:feelskek:
