Books and CDโ€™s:

All I did as a child was read, which played into an active imagination and interest in film. It all began when I was learning English in my Norwegian family and was given a cd to listen to while reading. I learned English in about three months and began reading C.S Lewis, The Alchemist, The Hobbit and all sorts of stories. Out of all the ones Iโ€™ve read in those years, a few have stuck out in nostalgia, if any resonate with you leave a rep.

Walter The Farting Dog:

Now this is possibly one of if not the most mind numbing and retarded novel to give a child, but the art style was so far from what I had seen that it peaked my interest. I loved books with dogs as the main character because in Africa there were no dogs as pets. I also loved animals because I lived inside for most of my early life.

Dangerous Journey:

Got this as a gift and it taught me the value of faith and friendship, still wrestle with this novel as it teaches a lot about the human Psyche.

Jeremy Fisher:

I would say this is where I developed my love for toads and reverence for animals. As a kid I found it sickening that people would kill frogs or small creatures and would often relate them to the characters Iโ€™ve read, needles to say I love Pepe :feelsautistic:. I also just enjoy the adventures of frogs, what the hell do they do all day :lul:.

Tuss og Troll:

F4928A15 20F5 4E82 B715 ECD83A14E85E

Growing up in a Norwegian family meant I had to learn some Norwegian, so in an effort for me to become accustomed with the pronunciation I was given a series of books about trolls and fairies and mythical creatures. I eventually fell in love with them and from there was a troll enthusiast. I would read them to my Grandpa from Norway before he passed and hope to visit Norway during college.

CDโ€™s:

Free To Be You and Me:

I used to watch this a lot but this isnโ€™t the original cd, it really helped me learn English and not talk like a YN

Hip Hop Speaks to Children

Doesnโ€™t do a justice to the original CD at all but taught me a lot about rhythm and got me into drums and dancing. I used to jump around to โ€œA Tribe Called Quest.โ€

Thanks for reading!

if you have any books or cds to add you listened to as a kid please link :feelsgood:

TLDR: I didnโ€™t do a lot as a kid so I read and listened to a lot of stories.
