No bookcel ever could logically explain me why it's necessary to read books. They all act like books are this holy Grail of self development but it reality they are just a form of entertainment. Sure they don't fuck up your attention span and it today's age even train you to be able to concentrate for longer.
But they don't hide some form of secret knowledge that can't be acquired more easily with today's media.
I do understand that reading a pimps handbook probably makes you understand his mindset more than you would from a 10 second reel but still most stuff in books is just fluff and the important key takeaways could be summarized on a page or two
