according to stats , 80% of cases are uncomplicated and do not require hospitalization, the other 20% require hospitalization. Out of the 20% that require hospitalization, 5% will be sent to ICU. Out of the 5% in ICU, 2.5% (or half of them) will be put on a ventilator. The mortality rate of dying from a ventilator from Covid 19 is 60-70%, so around 30% chance of surviving after being put on a ventilator. So since Boris is in ICU now, he has a 50% chance of going on a ventilator. If he goes on a ventilator, he only has a 30% chance of surviving.
