If you think about it

Everything that has led to the collapse of the dating market and the rapid increase in hypergamy has been directly caused (and created) by capitalism

Dating apps
Pornography
Social media (specifically the widespread push of attractive people + beauty standards everywhere)
Beauty and Skincare

All of these things were created with the intention of a few people exploiting human connection between men and women in order to gain massive riches

It’s even went as far as surgery

plastic surgery was used to reconstruct injured soldiers, and then with mass propaganda in the mid-late 1900s pushed it to the public and told them it would make them beautiful

you pay thousands of your own money which you laboured for to structurally change your face, essentially using your own body as capital, once again a massive industry created by capitalism

Even feminist movements too. Women who think it’s “empowering” to be sluts now, these movements only started because once women were moved into industrial workforces they gained more freedom and rights and started advocating against everything they once were (the whole trad shit I guess) “being loyal to a husband and nurturing the house is oppression!!! We need to rebel!! Fuck as many chads as you can and never have kids and never settle down!!!”

Now obviously bp wasn’t created by capitalism. It’s why I used the word exacerbated. But I can’t help but think that one of if not the biggest factors for the mass spread of hypergamy, promiscuity and degeneracy, collapsing dating market and the crazy rise of radical feminism was capitalism.

Saying from now this is a low effort and largely theoretical post. If I wanted to actually make an argument I would’ve done it properly but for now I’m just throwing my raw and early thoughts on here
