Braces before consulting a maxfac too risky?

I'm in germany and looking to fix my teeth as fast as possible. I've already consulted a few orthos and one of them work with a maxfac regulary. But since it's a public maxfac surgeon, It's a pain in the ass to even talk to them.

However 2 orthos have told me that my braces would take 12 months to fix my teeth. I don't want to wait till I talk to a maxfac and want the teeth to be done already. Because it could take a shitton of time until then.

Is it risky to not involve a maxfac before preparing the teeth for a bimax? I've already had plenty of dentist appointments and I'm technically ready for braces and don't want to fuck around any longer.

i don’t think it’s risky as long as they don’t start pulling ur teeth
in my case my ortho made a plan first that the surgeon then looked at and in doctor’s language said “yup” to
