Braces before consulting a maxfac too risky?

I'm in germany and looking to fix my teeth as fast as possible. I've already consulted a few orthos and one of them work with a maxfac regulary. But since it's a public maxfac surgeon, It's a pain in the ass to even talk to them.

However 2 orthos have told me that my braces would take 12 months to fix my teeth. I don't want to wait till I talk to a maxfac and want the teeth to be done already. Because it could take a shitton of time until then.

Is it risky to not involve a maxfac before preparing the teeth for a bimax? I've already had plenty of dentist appointments and I'm technically ready for braces and don't want to fuck around any longer.

i don’t think it’s risky as long as they don’t start pulling ur teeth
in my case my ortho made a plan first that the surgeon then looked at and in doctor’s language said “yup” to

What I mean is preparing the teeth for a bimax without consulting a surgeon first. Basically getting braces first. To not lose time. I would get orthodontic treatment first in germany before flying to italy. Because I can not go to italy right now.

genau das meine ich, ich kann leider keinen Chirurgen engagieren weil ich zu broke bin und so. Denke ich sollte einfach warten bis ich genug Geld und Zeit habe wäre wohl sonst echt dumm.

geh zu einem chirurg rede mit ihm. die dekompensierente phase for der op ist eh meist 8-12 monate. da kannst dann geld sparen und in der zeit siehst du eh nur deinen orthopäden.

I see , you can yes but ofc you gotta tell the ortho to do prep for the surgery
