Braces effect on forward growth?

Im 14 and going to get braces to fix an overbite. These braces are on all my Teeth and i should get elastics that go from the behind in my lower jaw and in front on my upper jaw.I will not get any teeth removed and I already got a palate expander when i was younger. Will they help me have more forward growth or will they more likely have some bad effects on my aesthetics?

I really doubt you're going to notice anything negative facially. If you do, I guarantee it wasn't from the braces.

How does that exactly recess you? They aim to superficially help and not change your oral and surrounding structure.

Pretty sure you're right since maxilla can't be pushed back when hard enought (Grown) and my teeth will be pushed forward by the straightening also the elastics give forward growth to equalise m'y overbite

if ur fixing an overbite they will pull the mandible forwards so ur gonna get more forward growth
