Braces elastics at 19

So I've had my fuckass braces for like 3 years now and my overbite hasn't been fixed because I never used the elastics. Every time I get the checkup they r like did u wear it and I just say no every time and explain why and it's like a goddamn factory of hygienists and they always dismiss my question. I did have a long conversation with the ortho once and they said ur chin profile looks fine it's just mainly some dental issue. But I've read into this extensively and read so many reports saying elastics ruined their face.

So I still haven't wore them and my next checkup is next august few weeks after my buccal fat removal. I've been thinking I just ask them to take it off as there's not really anything they can do about it. I have a decent mandible and like pretty bad chin especially in vertical height but no idea if the elastics would have fixed that earlier or just made my upper jaw worse. Do I just get a BSSO later on to align the lower jaw to the upper teeth? My biggest concern is my FWHR being fucked by my smaller chin and larger fat pads so I wanted to just settle with a sliding genio or chin fillers then get BSSO later.

What should I tell the ortho on my next visit? Any tips and comments would be appreciated.

Probabaly. I mean the gap is already close to closed and the elastics will just finish the job. So that's why I just don't even trust whatever they r trying to fucking do. I would rather just do the nuclear option with BSSO later and just align the lower teeth all the way forward.
