braces elastics

my ortho doc wants me to wear class ll elastic pattern and i am concerned weather it will pull my maxilla back (maxilla alrdy has slight downgrowth from first time i got braces this is my 2nd time having them) i haven't gotten any teeth extracted i got braces because of a (overjet/mandible asymmetry/misaligned bite) and its not bad but its a mild low case of overjet do i wear the class ll elastics?

ive got 5mm overjet and overbite im getting upper and lower fixed braces with bands after refusing extractions i think its the right choice

did you have any issues by refusing extractions? if they push back should I just keep trying diff orthos until they agree

i just said i am not extracting and they said they'll leave me time to decide and then sent me a letter showing me my 3 options. i then went back and spoke to them about the options

Obviously they are going to recess you? How do you expect them to change anything otherwise
(Not that I agree with retraction orthodontics.)

don’t know abut maxilla (but ig nothing will happen) but surely wont do shir for ur lower jaw, its already developed. it will just mask you overbite by moving teeth. im in the same situation tho, wearing them for 1.5years already, i see some improvement but nothing crazy. probably will look for operations later
