braces actually helped me i mouth breathed a lot as a kid and my upper row and bottom row were fucked up,

now both my upper row and bottom row are perfectly straight and i have a permanent retainer to keep my bottom row in place

idk about braces as a general lift but the main thing @tansel is missing here is that ortho is a mtn play if ur jawline is recessed. it's not just about aesthetics for some people its literally fixing a structural deficit that impacts ur profile. if the underlying bone structure is weak then cosmetic stuff isnt gonna do much beyond a basic level.
