Braces making lips fuller?

When the brackets are on, does the lips temporarily get fuller?

And could you expect 1mm visible reduction on the philtrum because of this?

Unfortunately, It is unlikely that you can expect a reliable, visible 1mm reduction in the length of the philtrum simply from the presence of brackets.

I was thinking mostly because the upper lip is being supported/pushed slightly forward, so the lip rolls out and the top of the lip looks closer to the nose.

Also I’m getting it for arch expansion if that changes anything. Especially my premolars are tilted inwards.
