Braces messed up my maxilla

I could swear my braces killed my maxillary developement i had an overbite, and they gave me like regular braces and some headgear bullshit that blocked my maxillary growth and my orthodontist says i‘m no recessed but i’m pretty sure i am. could that be the case for me and does anyone else have the same problem?

Just normal braces wouldn't do this right, only the headgear and other shit the ortho puts you on while on braces?

ALF if your young enough. BAMP better tho but requires screws; it's better if you can get it.

ALF is a easy appliance with no screws and stuff, if you are young enough you can get it. Bamp requires screws. These are both things that direct maxilla forward. If you have more questions ask chat gpt. I lied to my doctor to get an Alf (I am 15 and a half, but my bone age is 14.0 so I was young enough to get it were it still works to a certain extent).
