will braces fix my overbite or my face in general? i have a bad overbite and my chin is recessed. they originally said i might need jaw surgery to push it forward but now they said my braces will naturally bring my chin and jaw forward, but idrk.

No, braces won't fix your bone recessions.

It can fix your bite but what it'll actually do is that it'll pull back your teeth to the other teeth so you have a perfect bite, it can't fix your bone recessions. Only halo it'll give is that you'll have a nice smile.

You need to get bsso for mandible and genioplasty for chin recession.

braces do not change structure, just moving around teeth.

there are some appliances that can potentially help structurally, like a herbst appliance.
