Braces, someone help

People on this website seem to generally agree that braces make your face worse bc it makes it smaller and mewing is supposed to make it wider blah blah. But, a lot of the dudes I know who have the best faces had braces at some point in their life, in addition I found a tiny amount of improvement in my face and a massive amount in my jawline after i got braces. Anyone got any info to share

apparently invisalign is better cuz its less invasive and wont make your palate smaller

its literally the same thing only that its plastic and the process is faster

just ask you doc if the braces are retractive (bringing teeth inward) which is bad. also ask if they can widen your dental arch if possible. most likely you will end up with the same size palate but with straight teeth. just dont use bands that pull your jaw back or extractions

i let the doc do his own thing bc my face was alrdy good and it looked better, im near the end of my treatment and i think it made my palae smaller but everything looks better, gonna see if anything changes after i get them off, so excited

Braces are only essential if you have crooked teeth or if you want to do a double jaw surgery and your surgeon requires you to get braces first.

does it ? , i thought it just aligns your teeth , and its plastics , so how could it be faster(plastic is weaker than the metals they used to pull your teeth back)

I actually didn't need braces, i got them by choice bc i was into looksmax and wanted to see what it did to my bite.

My bite was pretty normal, used to be slight overbite but was chill

Didn't need braces but it seems the bands actually make my jaw structure tighter and more pronounced when i wear them, also forces me to keep my mouth closed and mew. hope this helps

because it has an all-around force across the whole tooth while braces is just attached to the front
