Braces will ruin my life

As a innocent, stupid 14 year old, nothing but excitement filled me upon hearing the news I would receive braces. 4 premolar extractions and some recession later, I fucking regret it. I honestly don't mind the way I look, its just the thought of my true potential if I never extracted and actually expanded my palate. Naturally my zygomatics aren't as prominent as I would like them to be, so If I was to have gotten the palatel expansion, it would bring nothing but benefits.
