Braces

I’ve had had braces on my upper teeth for 1 year now because I had a front tooth which didn’t grow downwards but instead grew diagonally. But my dentist asked me if I wanted braces on my lower teeth since I have a slight overbite.
He gave me 2 options.

1: pushing my front teeth inwards so it will align with my lower teeth
2: braces on my lower teeth to fix overcrowding which he meant would fix my overbite

Wouldn’t option 1 fuck up my forward growth?

Hes not moving the teeth back but yes it will move soft tissue
lower teeth braces would be better

Ahhh thanks! I still don’t get how fixing my slightly crowded lower teeth would fix my overbite

It wont do much apart from fix your smile you need a herbst device or class 2 malloclusion bands to fix that, im guessing its minor so your ortho wont do that.
But class 2 malloclusion bands can recess you to.
Next time ask in lm questions so i can get a soltuion
