I have a slight overbite and I’m 14. Ive went to the dentist and they said its not severe enough to get braces. What can i tell them to get me some braces and what’s the type of braces i should get

go to a diff ortho do u have a overjet and along philtrum to? If you do im going to save ur front profile and tell you to NOT get braces

go to a private doctor or get orthognathic surgery like double jaw surgery

I do have a slightly long philtrum but i feel like my mandible is pretty recessed and is nerfing my side and front profile

why would that combination ruin his front profile if he were to get braces?
retracting the overjet lengthend the philtrum even more often times a over jet and a long philtrum already flattens the philtrum so it would look even longer once its angle is straight from the side

i get it, i have a lil overbite and they haven't begun elastics yet BUT they have fixed the angle of the front molars, since they ere protruding at a over positive angle, now its a 90 degree angle so the teeth point straight down instead of outwards and ive already noticed a change in top lip fullness or at least the appearance of it, although they said that that's not the final outcome and it will get fixed down the line since its over corrected now, also it has to do with soft tissue, since when having braces soft tissue moves bc of the metal in the mouth and some ppl develop jowls witch i have only slightly though, so in the end i think the result will be good still after the tissue goes back to where it was, teeth are straight, lip fullness gets fixed , so i see how that would make the philtrum longer

is your philtrum long? have you had or are you getting any extractions

Its not long it has became very slightly longer looking bc of the lost lip support, i think my chin is abt double the length or slightly less than that, no extractions since i know thats bad, although i was o ly born with 3 wisdom teeth and the bottom right one is the one i don't have, the left one is kinda in a position where if it were to erupt it would cause a lot of pain, im kinda feeling it already, the top 2 are fine, so if i would get any extraction it would be bottom left wisdom tooth ig the pain becomes unbearable
