I think you're referring to an overbite bro if you want better chin protection, and braces won't help unless you get something like a twin block appliance. If you do mean an underbite then same thing won't fix it unless you get maxilla advancement surgery as a bonus. There are also less invasive ways to fix an underbite like reverse pull headgear, a tandem appliance, etc

I'm pretty sure if anything most of times braces cause more recession but that's mostly due to shitty dentists who only care for money and not true aesthetics idk tho

my underbite is really bad my teeth are litrally facing foward and are not aligned making bottom lip n like chin weird might be ruining my chin projection same with the fact that there is a gap whenever i smile with teeth
