I'm looking to try using a Y-plate/3 way shwarz expander for lateral & frontal maxillary width, it'd be sourced from bracesshop.com, anyone tried it or purchased from there?

how old are you?

nearly 18
it wont work. your palate suture is already fused. this would only move your teeth. Don't bother or else you will cause gum recession and other way worse issues.

maybe not for frontal expansion but you can still expand laterally a couple millimeters though no? I'll email my orthodontist about it

"A piece of plastic wont separate the already fused sutures on your palate. You need to get MSE as thats one of the only ways you can split the suture"

What if I’m 14? But I have 1 tooth that’s infront of another tooth cause of a narrow palate? Could I use the 3 way expander then get braces to align my teeth
