The latter

Rn I'm holding TQQQ thru the bull market... very hard not to sell
Awesome bro.

I used leveraged and tech stocks as well. I used spxl and TECL for the past 4.5 years and have gotten insane gains. I don't sell, mainely because I don't want to deal with all the tax/IRS/paperwork bullshit on these huge amounts of gains, but I don't put any money in them anymore either. I just use the vong, voo and I just started to use GRID now. These are safer, non leveraged etfs.

My dad also have me 80,000 in the voo about 12 years ago and it grew to over $150,000. I am a 30 years old , oldcel, and I still live with my parents(I know, im old for that) but I saved over $500,000 so far. Much if it is due to crazy gains in leveraged/tech etfs and stocks.

I work in accounting/finance and am working on my CPA too(mainly to get a better job and to get away from the disgusting, fat pigs at my office)

Nice, TECL is a smart move. Damn, so you bought after the 2022 dip? My account is tax free so I don't have to worry about that stuff, but it makes it much harder not to panic sell or chicken out when you get a bit of a gain, especially with leveraged stocks and high amounts invested. I'm only investing with about 30k or so, but I'm still in my early 20's.

Nice bro.

And yes. I bought as much TECL as I could during the 2022 dip/bear market. That made me lots of $$$.

TECL is overkill. But consider SPXL and spuu if you are into leveraged alternatives. You can do some leveraged and some non-leveraged.

VONG, VOO, SOXX and GRID (check that one out, I just started investing in it) are also great non-leveraged alternatives. Keep investing consistently and you could also have 500,000+ by the time you reach 30.

I hope so, 500k in savings mogs. Rn I'm ok with more risk but definitely overtime I'll switch to non-leveraged stuff like VOO, unless like you I happen to have a lot of cash during a big dip that isn't invested.
