low education → weak wage opportunities → benefits/inactivity → skill decay → social detachment → even lower employability.


The really interesting class implication is that Britain increasingly bifurcates into:

• credentialled workers plugged into London/professional services/public-sector graduate tracks;
• asset owners whose wealth compounds independently of labour;
• a large group for whom participation in the formal economy barely pays.

social class is increasingly determined not simply by someone's current salary, but by whether they occupy a compounding economic trajectory at all. A mediocre starting salary inside a strong trajectory can dominate a higher static wage remarkably quickly.

i’m not surprised, half of the governments money goes to supporting immigrants free housing, healthcare and food, while trying to completely neglect the citizens
