Not much of a sugar person but I do always enjoy dessert most places in Scandinavia

Anywhere in Northern Europe the desserts are always a treat. I’d say only France in Europe has the sweet spot of great food all around but it’s ironic because France is half MED half northern euro so it makes sense.

I theorise it’s due to the dairy and sorrier of the cold that made northerners get experimental with such products to make nice desserts. Esp as other places are either lactose intolerant or not cold enough to have an abundance of dairy.

Not UK but I actually loved the food in Ireland, the Irish breakfasts and the seafood stew dishes. Also the culture around the food was great, there’s so many good restaurants in Dublin and Galway, the atmosphere is great and there’s lots of accommodations for special diets (I’m gluten free and dairy free) I was pleasantly surprised.
