He posted his dna results. Mostly Irish and ironically native American. He has cherokee blood and also black l
I can’t find anything about his DNA results but that’s a bit odd if true (I’ll assume it’s true since you seem to be an honest person). Irish people did not tend to settle in that part of the country, in rural Georgia. Most of them went to urban areas or coastal New England because of discrimination from the Anglo-Saxon Protestant majority in the south. Do you have any pics of his results?

He posted it in one of his stories but Irish immigrants weren't geographically restricted like that. That was more of Italian thing for people that came after the frontier was closed. They first settled in NYC and Boston and spread from there due to jobs and existing communities.

Yes you’re right, although they mostly settled on the western frontier since the majority of the land in the south was already owned by existing families and maybe with a few areas excluded there was little opportunity for them there. I would say that Irish Catholic ancestry is generally less common in America than is said although they still make up a large segment of people. Non English (or more broadly including other British ancestries like Scottish or Welsh which intermarried with English families early on) are more regionally concentrated whereas English or more broadly British ancestry is spread out.
