They just make the false presumption that, if someone acts a bit different due to frequency being changed to exogenous means.

Yes, so basically, the skin walker theory is predominantly false.
Unless they are somehow giving slight hints to a spirit rewiring the individuals or even another entities, emotions through frequency famine of distribution of change.
This is complete tomfoolery if otherwise, animals don't get possessed by demonic entities even, they see no use for such a non-sentient being,
