So basically I have this friend in my school, lets call him john, me and john just got our mock results back, we both are in the same class for econ in physics, and before the mocks john was revising like CRAZYYYYYYY, he would always be eating and looking at his phone or flashcards, during class he'd revise and when we went to the library to revise together he would lock in for hours whereas i would like maybe lock in 1-2 hours and just watch yt the rest of the time lol. Anyways we got our mocks back and I feel so bad for him, even tho he studied so much he only got a B in Economics and like a 74%UMS (uniform mark scheme) whereas I got 100% o UMS n econ. Not only that I got a 100 in further maths , not just 100ums but full marks, and he only got a 70 something as well, and a B. I got better grades than him despite not studying even a quarter as hard as him... And not jus Only thing I admire about him is his work ethic, I wish I could work that hard, he ight be more successful than me bcuz he works hard and I just cant pay attention I have ADHD lol.

Why is my higher IQ "supposedly" and his discipline "top perceintile"? You are implying that, through the adjective supposedly, that I am somehow fabricating my IQ, whereas the lack of such similarly negative adjectives to describe my friends' discipline suggests that my friends discpline is real. In fact, you use a positive adjective and say that its top percentile? Which percentile? Theres nothing in what I said to suggest that my high IQ is imaginary even if his discipline is within the top 1% of people, unless you are assuming that my description of my friend is more accurate than the description of myself, which is actually less likely to betrue because its not like I watch him 24/7 in his room or not, and I've gotten my IQ tested, of 141, in the hopsital.
And why do you say he has better genes than me? Under your current assumption that I actually do not have a higher IQ than him and that he has "top" discipline, yes, but you're still assuming that my intelligence is faked

Your IQ contains many variables from pattern recognition, memorisation, logical reasoning, visuospatial intelligence, etc..
Your grades are the result of more than your IQ. Especially for secondary school, crystallised intelligence, efficiency of study habits, etc, are more of a determining factor. Your fluid intelligence gets tested in higher education

On the contrary, discipline is narrower (more of an independent factor) and easier to observe. You have capped discipline because of ADHD, he’s already operating much higher than your cap
His discipline is real because it’s easier to identify, the disparity between you two is much larger (compared to supposed IQ), and you have personal bias (due to your ego) since I’m taking it from your account. For you to admit he has far better, he definitely does

I mentioned that I got tested in the hospital, and yes, grades alone don't meaningfully translate to IQ, but higher grades and simultaneously lower amounts of effort surely are an indicator of intelligence. You are arguing as if i'm implying that my high iq is shown by my grades. On the topic of easy to observe, i'm going to mention again that I've gotten this tested, whilst i was getting tested for And you are claiming that:
I have personal ego->i said he has high amounts of discipline-> he must have astronomically amounts of discipline
Whereas have you not considered the possibility that my ego is not high and I am just saying the truth?
Also, you imply that I have ego, and doesnt that imply confidence in my abilities? Yes, they are not the same, but often they are, and I would say from my posts that I am confident in my grades.
I am not saying that I have better discipline, I definitely don't. But I am saying that I am much smarter than him, as evidenced by my lack of effort and yet amazing results compared to him. So why does he have "superior genetics"? You cannot possibly argue in this situation that discipline is superior to intelligence, given that, by your point of view, his discipline is much higher than mine and yet he still has poor results. And success in the real world thusfar cannot be determined than anythinig other than grades, or university admissions (which we shall see). And if he had sufficent intelligence, then he would be able to, with his AMAZING disciplline, get good grades.
If the point is to try and say that I am inferior than him, then I belive i've disproved that, if not then I'm not sure what the point is.

Ps, id like to acknowledge the kind of "catch-22" situation you've created, because if I try and argue my intelligence then its a sign to you that i'm trying to prove it which then disproves my intelligence (which you can't prove to be true in this case), but if I dont then you think i'm stupid
