If it looks worse compared to the front camera, disrtortion is doing a benefit to your harmony

If it’s compared to real life/mirrors, depends on misc and sometimes angularity. most phone cameras make eyebrows and other features lighter, can also make your face a bit less angular looking in some lightings

Well obviously I know that your brain makes u think u look a lot worse than you actually do. But I genuinely look so bad in the back cam photos I take it just tanks my confidence
