at my top tier all-white ivy league we compared the current sophomore class wrapping up recruiting right now for 2028 summer (many landing GS/MS/EVR/CVP/Q/LAZ/PWP + BX/APO/KKR/Carlyle/WP/H&F/TB/SL + C/P72/M) and the biggest differentiator statisticslly was race + size + looks.

the weaker guys (on paper) in our business school with like 3.8 gpas and meh internships/clubs who were tall, white, athletic, attractive and well socialized touse studs OBLITERATED the 4.0 gpa 5 internships study 80 hours a week sweaty skinny ugly nerd asians/browns

the white slayers who barely tries in their classes got the TOP internships even WITHOUT nepo while the chopped ethnics barely scraped UBS/DB/JEFF/RBC
