Just got CBCT done. A couple consultations are in the works, but for now here's what it looks like.

Will run the numbers tomorrow but looks like marpe will be the way to go. Whether that will fix my recessed infras is another question.

Here are some measurements. An intermolar width width of about 30mm does seem very small, when ideal is >38. time to thumbpull for 2x30 seconds a day

@apollo67 thanks for the recommendation. will also ask about getting a facemask alongside marpe for forward growth

Hey man, thumbpulling won’t do anything. There is no way to change craniofacial structure without surgery or orthodontic work. A palate expander is a common orthodontic procedure that can heavily improve your upper palate width.

Lmao I’m kidding. I’d have to be especially retarded to have gotten a CBCT as my first instinct yet still think I can break sutures with my hands

It doesn’t even look that brutal.
Your skull looks pretty average overall.

How is your intermolar width so small? Did you measure it yourself? Your palate is definitely narrow, but there’s no way it’s that small unless your entire skull is just tiny.

If you want, you can send me the scan

Yeah I'm mostly trolling. Realistically I think a narrow palate and an under-supported eye area is the only thing I should fix. Any forward growth as a result would be nice but we're talking about 4-5mm i think (am I right in understanding that if the maxilla moved forward, the lower jaw, up to a point, would rotate ccw to compensate?). Yes I did measure myself using the software bundled with the CBCT, very likely I did it wrong.

The jaw wont usually compensate
