When I was a senior in HS I was really into soccer and would play at my school and at the ymca in futsal. I was really into anime at the time as well, not as much now but I was very invested. I came across Blue Lock one day and I watched it and really enjoyed it, and watched all episodes at that time in sub and dub. Then, I heard that a movie was dropping for blue lock and it was actually going to be played at my local theater. I was pumped because the movie was going to include two episodes of an unreleased season according to the leaks.
Though, I didn’t want to go alone to a movie, I felt off and my parents or brother weren’t interested in going with me, so I asked my friends from school who played soccer with me. I sent the text and an hour later they all responded at the same time that they would love to if I bought the tickets. I then convinced my dad to buy the tickets (my family is very well off), and I told them I’d pick them up the next night for the late showing. I pick them all up at one of their houses. It’s odd to me though they are already together but I ignore because I’m about to watch my favorite anime‘s new movie!!
So, we get food before at chickfla. I can tell something’s off. They have bloodshot eyes. Kinda ignoring me. Laughing a lot. I can tell that they are high. It’s fine I guess? We arrive at the movie and the movie starts as a recap. I try whispering to them to explain the plot so they understand the movie along with the 10 minute recap video I sent the night before in mentioning. Nobody watched it. They then started to make fun of the show and laughing at the graphics. Like a quarter way in, they are all on their phones and not paying attention. Later, they all get up together to „go get more snacks“. They come back with snacks and eat, go back on their phones. They then the next 15 minutes fully just leave. I didn’t know where they went. I’m a little off put. I’m enjoying the movie but feeling a little sad about nobody even trying to understand the movie that I paid for and drive them to.
The movie ends, and I text where are you at. They say on the other side of the mall so I say to meet at my car since I have to drive them back. I’m really upset at this point. They get back, all laughs and giggles and we drive out of the parking lot. This is where it takes a turn.
I forgot to turn the auto lights on my car, and since it’s late at night, a cop sitting in the mall parking lot pulls me over when I pull out of the lot. My friends are pissed because they are minors that have weed and are high, calling me retarded and stuff as I pull over. Before the cop comes to my door and I notice one of my friends ruffling in the back. I ignore and grab my id and insurance. Cop comes to the door, asks for ALL of our ids and comes back and gives me a warning. I explain everything and talk to the guy chill because I’m dead sober. Heading back to one of the guys houses, these guys want more weed, so they ruffle again and I feel hands under my seat. They grab their weed and carts from under my seat. I realize that-
THESE FUCKERS PUT THEIR DRUGS UNDER MY SEAT, before the cop came over, before we even knew why I got pulled over!!! Considering everything I’d had done, bought tickets, drove them, got them food,etc.
Finally, I get to the first guys house and they all get out. I’m surprised. I ask what they are up to. They say „we are sleeping at ____‘s place tonight, cya Will, haha!
I’m sitting in my car outside my friends house with my curated „aux“ Spotify playlist so they don’t judge my music playing late at night with their burns and empty carts in the back of my car. I get home, clean out my car, get a new air freshener and leave my car windows open to diffuse.
