"On average, 60% of the swelling resolved in 1 month, 84% after 6 months, and nearly 93% after 12 months. There were no significant differences in the rate of swelling resolution when accounting for age, gender, body mass index, or tranexamic acid administration. Conclusions: Most facial edema resolved during the first month following triple jaw surgery, with significant reduction in swelling between 6 and 12 months postoperatively. After 1 year, approximately 10% of the initial edema remained."

Recall how much swelling you had at Day 3 to 5. That is 100%. The 7% of that, which remains after a year, on average, is still enough to cause a noticeable change in facial harmony.

I wonder how much of that can be reduced with diuretics temporarily

Probably significantly, its just a fluid afterall.
However using diuretics is probably worse in the long run. The fluid serves a good purpose of healing

Do u know of any ways to speed recovery? From my research I kinda concluded gear actually does the opposite of helping

I was thinking of Var, it might help speed up the recovery of the tissue.
some massages, also heard about some plants that aid recovery.
There’s gotta be a way to reduce the swelling and speed up the recovery. I just have not yet done significant enough research to conclude with utmost certainty

But the mechanism of action that gear improves your bone health is not the same as bone union, bone union is a giga specific thing

Faster you heal, faster the swelling is going to go away.
Anavar as I remember was used and created for the purpose of helping burn victims recover but thinking logically I don’t think it does anything to directly aid the healing process other than muscle.
The best gear to take after surgery might just be Hgh
