(Brutal) Oneitis tried to like me but she just couldn’t

I would be talking to her, and I would see,
for a brief moment,
that she would stare at me.
She would analyze my face
Almost like she was trying to picture us as something…anything more than friends
Then she would get a disgusted look on her face and just look down.

I was so close.

We were such good friends.
She genuinely liked me.
She told me things she never told anybody.
Personal things that even her best friends don’t know (i asked them)

I know every show she watches, what flowers she likes, what music.
she likes nerdy things like star wars and marvel movies.
She watches anime.
She plays video games.
Everyone said we had such great chemistry.
It is so sad that I am just ugly.
That’s the only thing she could never accept.
If I were even mtn I’m sure she could’ve convinced herself to like me.
I’m sure my amazing personality would’ve been enough.
But it just wasn’t.
