Long story short, it's because women's growth plates close much sooner than men's.
And because every child is born with perfect features,
it's literally a skill issue when you manage to grow up being below average looking as a woman.
Men have much more brutal development timing.
As a man during puberty, if you're hormonally imbalanced and you maintain bad lifestyle & bad tongue + body posture,
you will end up with some parts of your bones being recessed or underdeveloped.
Modern lifestyle:
Modern diets (high sugar, processed carbs, junk food) promote higher body fat → more aromatase → higher estradiol in men, which can suppress T and contribute to "soyboy" softer/recessed features if it happens during critical windows.
(Excess adiposity raises estrogen in men.)
Lack of sleep, sunlight (low vitamin D), high cortisol, inactivity: All mess with the HPG axis, lowering effective testosterone in males during puberty when craniofacial growth is sensitive. Testosterone supports proper forward projection and dimorphic development in males.
For women, you can literally LDAR all day,
and you can still grow up to be beautiful.
Literally any junk food that you can think of; chocolate, high sugar, fast food, ...
>>
All raises estradiol. = Ideal development for women.
Men's beauty is much harder to achieve in modern world.
So why are testosterone prescriptions illegal for most men?
Young men should have much higher tot. testosterone than 300-600ng/dl.
It's an absolute joke that a doctor can see an 18 year old man with 350ng/dl tot. testosterone and tell him that he's completely fine.
(Recent studies across 50+ countries confirm female faces get rated significantly higher in attractiveness by both sexes.)
(The system keeps young men hormonally crippled during their one shot at proper dimorphism. Meanwhile women get a shorter, more forgiving developmental window.)
