Unless war happens, or some other type of mayor disaster. Which basically causes: hard times, scarcity, poor governements and so on. Then men can again demand and get from women, a high(er) return for his beta-buxxing/providercapacties. In such hard situations, provider skills have gotten much more valuable. Nowadays provider skills are bordering near worthlessness. Because women can make their own money in pretty do-able jobs; or they can collect wellfare from the rich government.
If you check countries, where above 2 factors are not good. You see man doing much better in getting women, more evenly distributed at least I mean to say.
