He blames it on muh adult worrys and responsibilitys, but the true black pill is that even if you had all the time and money in the world and a perfect life, you still would not be able to enjoy games nearly as much as you did when you were a kid, because the childlike joy of new experiences is lost. A childhood lost is never found again.

Smartphones, social media, tiktok, etc. have also ruined the ability to just enjoy playing games for long periods of time, it's very likely you will now get bored and regularly minimize the game to browse the internet, watch some clips, read and write some stuff on social media, forums, etc.; in the old days it was just you and a game console or PC video game and nothing else to distract your attention...

It's mostly because at that point you have tried and seen everything. But every once in a while, when some good game comes out, I can find myself getting enthusiastic about it like when I was a kiddo.
