Wouldn’t longer wingspan also give advantages in everyday life and certain sports? A 6 foot 4 goal keeper with a small wingspan wouldn’t be able to make as good saves as a 6 foot 4 keeper with a large wingspan no?

They are an advantage in MMA. Jones entire game play was based on his comically long reach but he struggled with fighting in clinches and in the inside but somehow Lennox Lewis did not have this problem and could fight in the inside aswell.
