I went to an interschools sports tournament today, so here’s a summary.
I was basically starvemaxing the whole day to avoid being bloated, but I couldn’t stay hungry any longer, so I got some chicken tenders and fries.
After that, I went to sit by myself on the bleachers, as per usual.
This is where everything went downhill.
There were two LTBs sitting below me, and they could look up at where I was sitting. One of them started giggling a little and tapped her friend on the side. Her friend turned around, looked in my direction, and started laughing too.
I was devastated. I’m already really self-conscious, and that just made it so much worse.
Then one of the girls said, “This would make a good Snap streak.” I could see them through my peripheral vision—I didn’t even want to look at them. One of them then angled her phone like she was trying to sneak a picture of me and of which she did.
I ended up standing up, leaving without even finishing my meal, and went home. I was genuinely on the verge of tears.
Most of you will probably call me soft, but if you’re high inhib like me, moments like this are genuinely brutal.
Later on, I realized my shoes were actually broken, which is probably another thing they were laughing at since they looked me up and down. My fit was clean, but I had no idea my shoes were falling apart.
But anyway… TFD.
If anyone has any advice on how to reduce social anxiety, I’d really appreciate it. Help a brother out.
