Bs joint

Which joint in my finger do I bs with, I’m current doing it with my knuckles but I’ve seen some people do it differently where they use the joint after the knuckle (proximal interphalangeal joint). Which one is more optimal?

For zygos yh but thats just me u can try both and see which feels better
