Neither money, nor insurance policy, nor doctor availability seem to account for plastic surgery procedure rates between races.

Well, if you look at the chart, S. Korea does indeed have a high rate of plastic surgery. But it's the only country in East Asia that is in deep red. There are multiple European countries with a similar rate, and almost half of South America is deep red. So East Asians actually have less plastic surgery than whites and Latinos.

I think that all parents should keep a separate bank account for surgeries for their kids, they they regularly put in a little money over the course of 18 years. And by the time their kids reach 18 and stops growing, the amount of interest that account will have on top of the money already in it, will be more than enough to do a whole facial surgeries if need be.

I would like to see a further breakdown of these numbers, what type of surgeries are they getting and what's considered cosmetic? Are root canals considered cosmetic, for example?
