Which is more important? Calorie surplus even if you put on some fat, or staying lean for optimal hormones?
 
hormones. fat will fuck your growth hormone supply, it will also lead to worse sleep (apnea) and more cortisol which will stunt you. Focus on being moderately lean, being active, and eating whole foods.

Got it, I think being too lean (low 10%s) as a child/tween did some damage but with proper macros it should be ideal now ig

yeah i mean arguably you should try to put on some fat and muscle but being skinny fat will kill you

its all genetic
Mom is 5'8, dad 5'11 at least, maternal cousins all above 6ft, maternal grandpa 6'4, I should have the genetics for it but Im stuck at 5'9 jfl just praying Im a late bloomer
