BUSHMAN EARS AS A RACIAL CHARACTERThe only known distinctive racial ear type is that of the Bushmen and Hottentots of South Africa. It is a short, broad ear with a very deep ridge or concavity of the spiral (rim). The upper border lies very close to the head and is sometimes attached to it. This upper border runs backwards almost horizontally, forming approximately a right angle with the posterior border.
