Blonde hair being bad is an inaccurate meme. The only blonde hair that actually looks bad is very light one. Overall the colour of your facial hair (including brows and lashes) matters much more, dirty blonde/auburn/light brown hair with light eyes and dark facial hair looks great and is ideal for whites imo.

Depends on location tbh, but yeah darker hair tends to look better, jet black hair can look very good as well if you have the right pheno for it.
