I'm 99% sure I'm getting DJS with benefits in 2028 as I am a canidate and I saw bwythons post about his DJS. He claims he's getting trimax through insurance, how is a trimax justified when a genio is purely cosmetic? Is he trolling or is this possible, if so I want it so how do I larp in the consult.

Good chance he's trolling but Luke Documentz who also has pretty good development actually got DJs for sleep apnea so who knows. I'm betting that they probably have some poor oral habits that are the actual issue instead of their extremely small amount of recession.

Not sure how it works in other countries, but where I'm from the Genioplasty portion isn't covered and is a billed part of the process. However it ends up being rather low, as the healthcare pays for stuff involved in the actual jaw surgery like the hospital, anaesthesia etc. So while it isn't LITERALLY covered, it ends up being such a small price that it might as well be (my quote for Trimax lists the Genioplasty portion at 500 dollars). My guess is that it would work similarly in the US

Interesting, I think it could work the same where I live (Canada) I'm going to look into it and see if I would be able to do it the way you're describing.

Just like surgeries are functional, they are also aesthetic. Any respectable surgeon agrees upon this and won’t shame you for it. Bwython actually said he will even be getting implants (infra I think?)

Actually I am Canadian too, so it will work how I'm describing. Just don't go in expecting it will be close to free, you'll still have to pay thousands for the planning unfortunately. But it'll be under 10k most likely.
