By how much will a Paletal Expander ascend you?

I mean, theoretically, for someone who has all the "symptoms" of a narrow palate, such as an underbite, pronounced nasolabial folds, and a narrow face, would treating the narrow palate by getting a paletal expander with braces after actually fix those issues?

oh my bad, i misinterpreted your point, so based off my knowledge yes, a palate expander will widen your midface and push your maxilla forward, which creates a wider smile, naturally pulls your lower jaw into proper alignment to fix the underbite, and tightens the skin around your nose and mouth to smooth out those nasolabial folds. when people say maxilla is law it is

oh shit my bad if i got your hopes up or anything im high and its late rn you are right, a standard pe only expands sideways, it doesnt push the maxilla forward on its own.

but it fixes the underbite and folds bc making the upper arch wider the gives the lower jaw the room it needs to go into good alignment instead of being stuck behind a narrow upper bite
