This thread is about caffeine, which is probably the most popular drug in human history. Despite being extremely popular and used by almost every person on earth, I find it underrated in the looksmaxxing and blackpill community. In this thread, I will be going over multiple reasons why caffeine is incredibly useful, and go over how to use it most effectively. Many of you may think this thread is stupid as almost everyone drinks caffeine, but I found it was important enough to post about, if not at least interesting.
The Benefits/Effects of Caffeine
So, what are the benefits to caffeine? There are tons of usages and benefits to using this drug. A basic rundown of caffeine is that it is a naturally sourced drug that comes from a variety of plants in nature, and is known to provide the human body an boost in energy upon consumption. Now, onto the benefits.
1. Energy
This is what caffeine is mainly known for. Caffeine is able to provide the human body with a boost of energy due to it's ability to block adenosine, a chemical that causes the human body to become drowsy and sleepy. This by itself immediately causes the human body to become "more awake" as it isn't effected by adenosine like normal, causing an increased release of adrenaline and other chemicals that are typically associated with quickness and strength. This simple fact alone means that by taking caffeine, you can overcome feelings of tiredness in the human body while also increasing reflexes, strength, speed, and cognitive function. By itself, this is an amazing reason to consume caffeine.
2. Mood Enhancer
Caffeine, when consumed, will boost dopamine and glutamate released by the human brain, increasing the consumer's mood. While this seems simple and small, this will cause lower inhibition, better experiences with people and activities, and an overall better day. When your mood is boosted and your inhibition is low, it allows you to make connections much easier while also allowing you to make decisions you otherwise wouldn't have made due to embarrassment or lack of motivation. This both short-term and long-term makes your life better, as just one better experience can snowball into better and better things later in life. Caffeine has also been proven to help reduce symptoms of depression.
3. Appetite Suppressant and Weight Loss Benefits
Due to caffeine boosting production of dopamine and norepinephrine, caffeine suppresses the consumer's appetite while it is present within the consumer's system (typically 8-10 hours). It also boosts metabolism through norepinephrine, promoting the breakdown of fat storages in the body. This can help the consumer eat less while also promoting the burning of fat at the same time. While the effect is not overpowering, it is useful and can help with weight loss.
4. Availability
Caffeine is the most popular drug worldwide, hands down. 4 out of 5 adults consume caffeine daily. It is easy to find caffeine sources through coffee, energy drinks, caffeine-infused foods, pills, and more. It is also found everywhere due to coffee shops being extremely popular and energy drinks/caffeine-infused products being sold in almost every major store in the world, especially in the United States. This means that you can easily obtain the benefits of caffeine and you don't have to worry about running out of supply.
How to Use Caffeine
Knowing when to consume caffeine is essential to properly utilizing it. Here are multiple situations where caffeine consumption is ideal:
- Morning Time
This is the time most people drink caffeine. Due to caffeine lasting up to 10 hours, if you drink it in the morning, you will practically receive the benefits from caffeine your entire day. Good way to kickstart your morning, and can be easily done everyday without worry of side effects like sleeplessness.
- Before Physical Activity
If you drink caffeine before a workout or physical activity, your performance will drastically improve. You will have increased reflexes, cognitive function, hand-eye coordination, speed, and physical strength. This means that if you workout, you will likely make more muscle gains. If done consistently, the muscle gained from caffeine-influenced workouts will snowball into you having a much better physique than if you never drank caffeine before working out. You are missing out on gains if you don't drink caffeine beforehand.
- Pregaming Social Events
Due to caffeine's mental and physical benefits, drinking small amounts of caffeine will help lower your inhibition and help you have a good time. I would recommend not drinking over 200mg of caffeine (less if your caffeine tolerance is low) because more than that may make you a bit too energetic and erratic. This is not something that should be done often, as social events are usually held in the later half of the day, especially parties held at night. That means that if you consume caffeine before going out, while it may make the experience much better, it may ruin your sleep that night. But that can be totally worth it, especially with the added fact you could down some over-the-table sleep medication like NyQuil or slightly overdosing Benadryl to cause sleepiness or at least slightly offset the caffeine in your system. I have done this, and parties have been much more fun for me.
TLDR: If you aren't drinking caffeine daily, you're missing out on physical, mental, and mood benefits.
