Cal ai rip-off finished???

Hey there chat.

I finally finished my app.

It’s basically cal ai but better and cheaper.
(idk about the better part but it’s definitely cheaper)

I have now added all the features i was planning to add now.

I also added a completely rebranded version of the app for athletes/bodybuilders with additional features.

You can switch between the regular mode and the professional mode from within the app itself, it was mainly so that i could present my app towards more people and i wouldn’t have to work on 2 different apps with basically the same function.

I’d appreciate it if you guys could give me a few suggestions.

Rn my biggest problem is acquiring API keys, Yes they’re cheap but i cant really get them.

Im trying to make this app MUCH better than cal AI but bruh im running outta ideas.

I used claude for the code and gemini for prompt optimization and stuff, a lot of the code was written by claude.

about 30-40% of the code was written by me (with geminis help, i suck at coding and i only started recently)

If anyone would like to help me out with suggestions, ideas, funding it, etc, Please do.

if i do manage to launch this, All org members get a 40% discount lol

I mean im gonna price this at 10-15 dollars for a whole year so

Imo cal AI leans toward more of a generic crowd where people just want to lose weight, Im trying to make my app better by making it lean towards more serious lifter/ gym rats ikywim, yeah i know cal AI is still miles better than mine but im not finished yet it’s barely been a week since i’ve started.

I haven’t asked anyone online to test it out yet cus the API keys need to be changed often and im working on a solution for it.

I asked my friends and parents what they think and they said it’s similar to cal ai

My mom said i could add more themes,
My siblings said i could add a mode switcher sorta thing,
and my friends said it’s great and it works for them but it just feels incomplete.

Ngl i’d be really happy with 500 sales with about 3-5K downloads?

As for promoting it, ig i just gotta ask my friend (he was the owner of the umax discord server) to let me promote it on any of his servers and pay people on tiktok to promote it, like 5 dollars per tiktok about my app ig

dont under price your stuff, if need a media buyer and have a decent budget hmu ima take care of marketing

well i already added multiple features which can

•let you add/remove certain ingredients from an already scanned meal
•add extra cals depending on where you’re eating
•edit your meal estimates macros and learn from your dietary habits (wip, im gonna ask more people to test it for a week).
• you can explain what’s in your meal for an even more accurate estimate

and other than scans, im planning on implementing features that would could be useful if you’ve got a lot of supplements, dietary restrictions, hydration goals, budgeting section to keep track of costs etc etc, if you’ve got suggestions lmk.

also im gonna add a streak and reward system like cal AI but idk what people would think about it

Yeah i did.

so far not many except for small ones like random spelling mistakes or wtv but i’ll work on them tonight.

Im also planning on adding an “enhanced” mode cus people on test/gear/hgh have different metabolic needs and stuff and i think it’ll help, what do u think?

you cant add it since its an app, unless you wanna restrict it more, im not an expert on apps as i said im just good at marketing, check if you would need to limit it on google play ios store etc
