Call me ungrateful but I realy dont like family vacations

Its miserable. Ig every one else is having the time of there life but for me it's like ive just been yanked away from my comfort and security. No routine no privacy just crammed in the same space as my family for a whole week. Its like "you can either sit in this hotel room all day or come do something boring" almost all of it just goes against my comfort and I hate it

I do enjoy vacations. It’s a nice way to clear my head and relax but with family it’s just different. They keep reminding me of my problems outside of the holiday and seem to often shit on it. And in every moment my parents seem to remind me how “I better not say that they were abusive lol we took you to vacations!!.”

being with my family sucks. i used to think i was a rebel teen, but after growing up i realized this is wayyy too common and normal behaviour. youre supposed to explore and meet other people, not stay with the same
