How brutally can 1k deficit affect your potential at 15?

i was a fat faggot just a few months ago

and at the start i tried to lose weight with a caloric deficit of 1600(165 cm height)

obviously it didnt really work as after losing 7kgs i stopped dieting ,and gained it all back,before losing all with a caloric deficit of 1000-1400

i was dieting for 6 months at first and i barely grew(maybe 1 cm)
at 1000-1400 didnt grew either
and at summer break i grew 7 cm Cuz i wasnt dieting anymore

so the conlusion is:
you will catch up if ur not dieting forever

its really shitty
I had no motivation to do anything
and in the end it did me more harm than good because I gained some weight back
