This^. Taban generally only performs orb decompression to correct asymmetries between the eyes. He’ll very rarely do an aggressive decompression on a patient without Graves’ disease as it’s quite dangerous and the aesthetic benefit is quite minimalIt can certainly make them appear more vertically narrow.
I doubt they’re worth it though unless you have bulging eyes since that’s usually what it’s used for. If you want deeper set eyes I don’t think vertical decompression (especially with the risks that come with it) is worth it.
Deep set eyes are usually caused by the bone around the eyes iirc.
